A man shot and killed a cashier in a market after she told him he had to wear a mask to a store in the US state of Georgia. After shooting at the saleswoman, the man also wounded the sheriff who tried to intervene, CNN reports.
Victor Lee Tucker, 30, after an argument with a market employee, for not wearing a mask, had a shootout with the sheriff, where both were injured.
Tucker and the wounded sheriff are in good condition, while the cashier was killed in the market.
No details have been released about the altercation between the market buyer and the employee, and police say the wounded assailant has been arrested and is trying to escape after the shooting.
