A Strong Earthquake Shook Central Alaska

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook central Alaska at 9 a.m. local time this morning.

The EMSC said the epicenter was at a depth of 48 km and 95 km north of Sutton-Alpes.

Residents of cities more than 100 kilometers from the epicenter say they felt a strong earthquake that lasted a long time. Some say their houses have been shaking for a long time.
