The Taliban lock the victims in trunks and lose all trace of them. This is evidenced by human rights representatives.
Michelle Bahlett, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, said yesterday that she had seen credible reports that Taliban fighters went from house to house to find someone who had helped the former government or the United States.
“Officials who worked for previous administrations and members of their families have been detained. “In some cases, the officers were released and in others they were found dead,” she said.
Her allegations were confirmed by footage showing men dressed as Taliban arresting four young men.
Since the Taliban took power, there have been footage of the Taliban beating women or pointing weapons at them during protests demanding their rights.
