Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who has been attacked for his controversial views, has again surprised the public with a new statement.
“I HAVE THREE OPTIONS FOR MY FUTURE: Eighter I will be arrested or killed or will win the elections next year,” said BOLSONARO during the meeting was carried live on social media.
He also added that he was sure that the first option, to be arrested, would not happen.
When it comes to the problems facing the country, Bolsonaro said Brazil is facing one of the biggest hydrological crises, which will partly affect agriculture.
He also referred to the demonstrations taking place in the capital, emphasizing that they do not understand why the protests are taking place.
“ABOUT 5,000 PEOPLE ARE CAMPING ON AVERAGE IN BRAZIL. “THE HUGE MAJORITY, ALMOST EVERYONE, DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING THERE,” SAID THE PRESIDENT.
The demonstrations erupted at a time when the Brazilian Congress is considering a bill that would restrict the rights of indigenous peoples to seek a traditional country.
Human Rights Watch states that the proposed law violates the rights of indigenous peoples under international law.
The latest opinion polls, which follow the mood of the citizens before the election year in Brazil, show that Bolsonaro is more than 20 percentage points behind his main opponent, the former president of the left, Luis Lula da Silva.
