Beer giant Budweiser “served” great news for cryptocurrency lovers.
This morning, Budweiser changed its profile picture on Twitter with a rocket ship designed by NFT artist Tom Sachs.
Customers say the brewery also bought the Beer.eth domain for 30 ethers, or approximately $ 95,000.
The link to the OpenSea NFT market address DNS indicates that the rocket displayed on Budweiser’s Twitter account was purchased for eight ethers ($ 25,000).
Richard Opie, vice president of global brands at Budweiser’s parent company, Anheiser-Bush InBev, told CoinDesk last month that the beer brand was investing in a new NFT media store run by Internet entrepreneur Gary Weinerchuk.
In the trade, which brewery executives have called a “long-term business game”, Budweiser’s intellectual property, including other brands of beer, will be packaged and sold as NFT.
