The big news from Opel includes the complete switchover of electricity, as well as the launch of legendary names.
Opel has announced its plans for the next decade as part of the Stellantis EV Day event. What will definitely be remembered is the switchover of electricity, which in Europe is scheduled for 2028.
To be more competitive, Opel plans to have a presence in China, as well as launching a range of electric models. Among them, the most attractive is a very well-known name, and it is “Manta” that really returns to the stage, and probably in a few years.
Michael Lochscheler, Opel’s first name, clearly reveals his plans in the video:
“Opel from 2028 will offer exclusively electric models on the European market. “With that, we emphasize the commitment of the electromobility brand.”
When it comes to “Manta”, the new model will still be different from the previously shown “Manta GSe ElektroMOD Coupe” concept. The video briefly shows what exactly awaits us. In all likelihood, Manta will use the new Stellantis platform, and a minimum range of 500 km is expected.
