The latest opinion polls show that the image of US President Joe Biden is suffering significant consequences due to the crises that have erupted in recent weeks, reports the Anatolia news agency.
The results of the poll, conducted by the Associated Press (AP) and the NORC research center, showed that support for Biden in one month fell from 54 to 50 percent, while in July it was 59 percent.
Support for Biden among supporters of his Democratic Party has fallen from 92 percent to 85 percent since July, and among those who do not opt for any political option, it has fallen from 62 percent to 38 percent.
In March, opinion polls showed that 60 percent of Americans support Biden’s leadership in the US economy, and in September that percentage fell to 47 percent.
The AP claims that the results of the poll are an echo of the US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the US treatment of Haitian migrants on the southern border, the spread of a new wave of the coronavirus delta and Biden’s agreements to receive congressional approval for its economic, infrastructural and financial .
The pollsters, who said they were hesitant about President Biden’s performance, nevertheless gave him an advantage over his predecessor, Donald Trump, because it was from him that he took over the fight against the pandemic and the already approved withdrawal of the army from Afghanistan.
