MIAMI – The death toll in Florida rose to 32 on Tuesday as four more bodies were pulled from the rubble and another 113 people are missing.
Workers continued to search the remains of the 12-storey building. Half of the building collapsed unexpectedly on June 24th, while the rest was demolished late Sunday in a controlled explosion detonating 58kg of dynamite as officials expressed concern that it could collapse on its own from the winds brought by the impending tropical storm.
The National Meteorological Service said that periodic storms with heavier rain and strong winds are expected during the day.
Rescue services say they continue to search for survivors, but have not found a single person so far.
