Ukraine Formally Requests a Session of the UN Security Council

Ukraine has formally asked the UN Security Council to consider a resolution of the Russian Parliament recognizing the self-proclaimed republics of eastern Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said today.

“The resolution of the Russian parliament undermines efforts to end the war in eastern Ukraine,” Kuleba said.

He added that Ukraine was seeking a debate in the Security Council on Thursday.
